To my surprise, the reservation was not modified or cancelled and the whole amount was charged in full to my credit card!

The rest war like a 3 Star hotel. I am even part of the Jumeirah Sirius Membership Program... How can Expedia do the same thing for their Gold Members??? I sent and email on Feb 27 to the hotel, asking to modify my reservation due to this situation. This week I got an email from Expedia saying the hotel refuses to refund the charge.
